Great Adventure Travel Leaders

  • Enjoy learning about and sharing cultures and landscapes

  • Have a sense of adventure

  • Are willing to help facilitate meaningful trips for others

  • Like to plan and think through trip logistics

Responsibilities Of The Adventure Travel Trip Leader

  • Dream, plan, and organize AT Trips under oversight of the AT Committee

  • Lead amazing adventures in places that you love

  • Share your passion with trip participants

  • Communicate with participants leading up to the trip

  • Provide pictures and trip description for promotional materials 

  • Develop and manage the trip budget

  • Arrange trip logistics including any permits and guide or support services

  • Submit post-trip reports

Adventure Travel Trip Leader Requirements

  • Current Colorado Mountain Club membership

  • At least 18 years old

  • Documented trip planning and leadership skills

  • Current Wilderness First Aid certification (or higher) at the time of the trip

  • Complete Application Form

  • Two completed references

  • Interview with AT Program Manager or ATC Member

  • Approval of the Adventure Travel Committee

Training & Experience Options Include...

  • A CMC Group Trip Leader School

  • CMC Adventure Travel Leadership Workshop

  • Documented leadership of similar travel types

  • Co-leading CMC Adventure Travel Trips
